Craft table in progress

So, I got shorted on my hours at the restaurant again next week, so it looks like I'll be opening up shop sooner rather than later. I have my square credit card reader, my application submitted to collect sales tax for PA, so now I need to get my table setup finalized and make more paintings and crafts. For any readers in the Berks County area, if all goes well, I'll be at the Willow Glen flea market bright and early April 7th. Here's a look at what I've been up to this week.

My space heater is just visible in that first picture with my table. The second is of my ceramic coasters and trivets drying after their first coat of polyurethane. The third is more coasters plus a few glitter back glass magnets drying. The fourth is my experiment with adding embossing to the coasters, which is nearly ready for its first polyurethane coating.

Tomorrow I only work lunch, so I'm thinking I'll get some more candles made. I found some great crystal teacups and other assorted glasses at the goodwill, and they'll make gorgeous candles!

More Ceramic Coasters

I found the four inch tiles at Lowes today. Fifteen cents each is a steal! I promptly set out to make some more coasters, of course. I ended up with two large black and floral coasters and two smaller in the same print, two small blue floral print, and two small orange floral print. More to come soon, since, as the tiles were so cheap, I bought a ton. I'm debating whether to paint the sides or if they're good to sell as is.

Pictures below.

Orange...

Is the color of the day. Today, I have a miniature abstract landscape and a miniature abstract painting, both in shades of orange.

The landscape is on my usual unstretched, primed canvas sheet with frayed edges. I depicted mountains with just a touch of sea. It is mounted floating on a black mat in a black frame.

The abstract painting is the end of a palette. I used a dry brushstroke to use up the last of the paint with vertical, then horizontal strokes. I left little hints of the white canvas paper under the paint. I really liked the way I got the texture of the paper to really shine with the paint.

Miniature Abstract Landscapes

Here is one of my favorite miniature abstract landscapes. I used bright colors and it turned into a similar style to a Tuscan landscape. It is currently for sale for $300 plus shipping.

More of my miniature landscapes and more are available at my FoundMyself gallery.

Bunny Hat

Tiny hat I designed for my bunny.

It's super simple.

Start with a magic circle and double crochet as many stitches as you like.
Second round, two double crochet in each double crochet.
Third round, one double crochet in each double crochet.
Fourth round, double crochet in each double crochet.
Fifth row, half double crochet in each double crochet.
Weave a coordinating strand of yarn through at the bottom of the third row, tighten slightly and tie a bow.
Modify as necessary for your size requirement.

Fabric Sample Books!

Found this rare gem at a Goodwill outlet store! The cashier told me they'd just come in yesterday (when I went in) so I was lucky to have gotten them. I haven't seen these kinds of books since I was little and first using them to make change purses! They're going to make tons of crafts, including the previously shown coasters.

Ceramic Coasters in Progress

I found some old fabric sample books and am combining them with this idea: http://twogirlsbeingcrafty.blogspot.com/2011/02/ramseys-finally-have-coasters.html
To create vintage coasters! I found larger 6 x 6 ceramic tiles on clearance, so I'm using those as my first pieces. Two of them were broken slightly so they are my test pieces. Here are the coasters in progress.
